  1. Interesting to see that one of the items is community council nominations to the new governing body of the amalgamated school. Bearing in mind the fact that so many councillors opposed it, bearing in mind that they got in a huff because they were invited to nominate for the interim body and refused because the invite didn't come from FCC and bearing in mind the huff that Tom Jones has been in since being deposed as chair of infants last year - (not to mention the ridiculous campaign that his acolytes have fought in his behalf - even though they weren't there) will they have the nerve to nominate someone?? Will Jones have the brass neck to put himself forward? Time to nominate someone new and not part of the council mafia.

  2. You make good valid points. It would be fair to say that Cllr Tom Jones (aged 87) has over stayed his welcome by many years. His selfish interest ruining village democracy. He took the money to stop being a county cllr this should have included community too. Time for new people to step forward. Time for all Tom's cronies to stand down. At the end of the day those who rubber stamped Tom and his crowd each election are to blame. Why haven't we got a full size football field in the middle of the village? Why haven't we got a doctor's surgery in the middle of the village. Why haven't we got more open spaces. Tom's lack of vision has been astounding. A safe pair of hands who did bugger all.

  3. other interesting tit bit - FCC are setting up a joint community group with Taylor Wimpey - local residence affected by development, county councillors, FCC planning officers and reps from Taylor Wimpey.....and they (FCC) have asked for community council representation! This is a real joke...go and have a look at where the new houses butt up to existing houses and the impact that has had ....including flooding...they are nearly 2m higher than existing properties in some cases. What have community council done or helped residence who have been fighting TW all year....nothing////big fat silence.....but now they get to nominate someone to sit on this panel.....joke!

  5. there's a democratic deficit in this village - they say you get the politicians you deserve....blimey!

No takes much interest in what this bunch do.....so they get away with whatever they want...oh they dress it up as speaking for the village - they don't....they represent their own cabal. They call themselves Independent - they're not, they just won't stand under their real banner - Tories - because they think it would harm their electoral chances...so they pretend to be independent....yet all follow the mantra of Tom - what's independent about that? Thank go for David W, Cindy and Linda!

Yes the house near towers way are to high but they are built now no amount of sitting around the board room will change that FCC would build a house in your back garden if you let them all the penyffordd councillors should hang the heads in shame to allow this mess to happen to a once lovely village
Redrow and Taylor wimpy have had their money . FCC have had their back handers . All we have to do now is wait for the next field to be built on !!!!!!!
