Cllr Edwina Davies Lady Captain of Padeswood and Buckley Golf Club 2008

Edwina stood with me for 2 hours last week while PC Chris Pullen attempted to calm the speeding hordes. Edwina informs me that she played competitive football up to the age of 40.
Edwina is the lady in pink on the right, second row.
No sign of a county councillor yet. They think little about village centre environment.

  1. Oh Colin don't be so confrontational! Does it not occur to you that your county councillors might not show up simply because of you. Try being a lttle more circumspect. On that note, your statement that "Chester Road Penyffordd. Just a shortcut for 1500 vehicles everyday. A village centre trashed!"; No it is not! If that route is the way people need to go why should they not use it? You do not know the circumstances of each and every driver now do you. The village is not trashed at all and it is an insult to all who live there to say that. What is of far more concern is those selfish individuals who insist and parking their cars on the pavement with no thought for the pedestrians forced to walk in the road (with 1500 vehicles a day!). Now that is a campaign worth fighting isn't it? Come on Colin let's see you crusade for that. T.C.

  2. I am quite happy to make way for my county councillors to stand with PC Chris Pullen.
I live here I see this speeding short cut trash everyday. It's ok if you live in a cul de sac though.

I await a change of heart with regards village environment or the welcoming of someone who does.
Inspector Alun Oldfield sees the issue.

ps parked cars don't make the noise of 50 mph vehicles. I presume you refer to parked cars on the path outside my house. Last night it was N0 5's turn. Funny how its only me who gets a knock on the door from th ebobby when I park outside my house. We all make sure there is room for pedestrians and prams.

  3. Don't be paranoid now Colin! The problem is widespread and you know it! Why do you say you are the only one "who gets a knock of the door"? Insecurity showing methinks!! The point I was trying to make is not that your councillors would turn up because you are there, merely that they would not turn up rather than be seen to have been forced to by you. Get it?
I see subtlety is not your strong point! T.C.

  4. You are correct. My county councillors cannot be seen to be forced by me to turn up.

That's their problem. They had their chances, I got fed up after 6 months. Again I raise Rossett as a village model who will not tolerate speed. In fact you would damage your car trying to do 50 mph over their bumps.
